NurseIQ uses Anthropic's Claude AI to generate flashcards, quiz questions, simulations, care plans, and study content. When you request AI-generated content, the relevant topic or context you enter is sent to Anthropic's API. We do not send personally identifiable information to Anthropic beyond what is required to generate your requested content. Please review Anthropic's Privacy Policy for their data handling practices.
When you upload study notes or course materials, files are stored securely in Microsoft Azure Blob Storage and used solely to generate personalized study content for your account. We do not use your uploaded materials to train AI models or share them with other users without your consent.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will mark your data as deleted within 30 days. Some information may be retained in backups for up to 90 days thereafter. You may request complete deletion by contacting us at privacy@nurseiq.app.
NurseIQ is an independent study tool, not an official school system. We are not a "school official" under FERPA. Your study data belongs to you and is not shared with your educational institution without your explicit consent.
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords (bcrypt), and JWT-based authentication. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
NurseIQ is intended for nursing students who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us immediately.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@nurseiq.app. California residents may have additional rights under CCPA.
We use cookies and localStorage to maintain your login session and remember your preferences (dark mode, study settings). We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings, though this will log you out of the Service.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
